Our field operations identify and investigate the key players and modus operandi of vast criminal networks engaged in environmental and wildlife crime, including some of the most important wildlife traffickers and environmental criminals in the world. We use the information we gather to:

expose the key criminals involved and the ways they exploit to traffic wildlife and natural resources around the globe;

facilitate the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators, including poachers, traffickers, businessmen and corrupt government officials;

share information with law enforcement entities to complement investigations and work collaboratively to address environmental crime;

strengthen environmental and wildlife crime prevention efforts and help our allies develop more effective strategies for protecting wildlife and natural resources from criminal exploitation; and

raise global awareness about the human toll of environmental crime and how it funds dangerous militias, destroys local economies, undermines human rights and costs human lives.
